Senior marketers do not ignore your outreach because they are happy. They ignore it because the message proves you have not looked at what they actually do.
The tell
- 01A role title with no mention of what is currently broken.
- 02Scope described as 'ownership' with no indication of what is already owned by someone else.
- 03No stated position on how the company thinks about marketing - which usually means it has not decided.
The reverse is also true. The messages I have responded to had one thing in common: they named a specific problem and were honest that it was unsolved.
Seniority is mostly pattern recognition. You cannot recruit someone for their pattern recognition with a message that shows none of yours.
This is also why the recruiter view of this site exists: state the fit and the non-fit up front and let both sides skip three calls.
